"Mirai e" is Japan's only privately owned training sailing ship, where ordinary people can participate in voyages as "trainees." Our company's shipbuilding department organized a boarding experience, which led to us being able to collaborate on clothing design. We had the invaluable experience of pulling ropes to rig the sails and putting on harnesses to move to the bow, and "Mirai e" was also provided as a location for shooting our concept collection. This shirt was designed with the hope that the crew of "Mirai e" would wear it as everyday clothing when they come ashore. The hem of the shirt is embroidered with a wave pattern to represent the open sea. On the horizon, "Mirai e" is printed on the front and a lighthouse on the back. [BLUE OCEAN Mirai e] "BLUE OCEAN Mirai e" is Japan's only large training sailing ship that ordinary people can freely board. This ship, which moves using environmentally friendly wind power, contributes to marine environmental issues as the "Moving BLUE OCEAN PROJECT." While conducting sail training, we also operate as an environmental research vessel, carrying out surveys of microplastics and other environmental issues in coastal waters, primarily around Japan, as well as internationally. We are committed to activities that foster an environmental mindset, connecting a vibrant ocean to the future.
